The Cryptid in Question…
Dominique Sconion is a Maryland-based illustrator
who can’t think of a time where she wasn’t constantly
building stories in her own head.
Her typical work features lovable characters set against colorful backgrounds and if there isn’t a magic system in place, there’s always something mystical in the air. Witches, vampires, ghosts and other compelling creatures are where her heart resides. Bonus points if it’s a queer and/or BIPOC+ story!
Currently, she is working on Dear Wretched Weakness,
a sweet sapphic romantic comedy webcomic set to begin release in 2025.
She graduated summa cum laude from Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design with BFA in 2D Animation and a specialization in Character Design in December 2024.
